Psychopharmacology

Effects of medication on therapy

Psychopharmacology

Pychopharmacology is about how drugs affect one's behavior. I am focusing especially on, how drugs that are used for psychological diseases, affect my patients' behavior. Which drugs for psychological symptoms and disorders are having which effects on the psychological well-being and cognitive functioning of the patient? This knowledge is of high value for a holistic and goal-oriented therapy.
In these regards I am also taking interactions of different drug combinations into account. Working closely together with the treating physician as well as having profound knowledge within psychopharmacology eases the differentiation between psychological symptoms and side-effects of the drug and increases the quality of therapy.
